It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Bill McElroy. If you’ve spent any amount of time at the Bridgewater Ice Arena over the past 28 years, odds are you saw Bill or skated on a sheet of ice he made.

For close to three decades, Bill helped maintain and operate the Zamboni machines, rinks, and building overall. His long-term dedication to the ice arena is commemorated through all the skaters, players, coaches, referees and staff that had the chance to get to know him over the years.

One thing Bill had the ability to do was be present. He always had a listening ear and wished the best for the people around him. On event days or during summer hockey tournaments he enjoyed when the staff would get together to plan meals. He appreciated the days when there was good music, and good company!

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. Please join us in remembering and honoring his life https://www.russellpicafuneralhome.com/obituaries/William-Mcelroy?obId=43658202
Rest in peace, Bill.
You will always be a huge part of the Bridgewater Ice Arena story.
